About the Event Project Manager
The primary driver of in-person events, you would be project managing event deliverables related to a specific clinical study whilst keeping the STS Project Manager (responsible for overall STS study deliverables) abreast of status, progress, risks and issues. The Event Project Manager will work with Vendors and Venue Managers, Delegate Coordinators and Finance support roles as well as Strategy, Creative and Content teams developing project components and are responsible for ensuring events projects are delivered on time, in budget and exceed expectations. 

We’ll look to this role for their event project management expertise, good relational management skills, proficiency in vendor management, issue resolution and drive for quality delivery.

The Event Project Manager will oversee deliverables for face to face events and virtual engagements with direct responsibility for budget control, delegate management oversight, vendor liaison and an in-depth knowledge of event compliance regulations relevant to the healthcare sector. Act as a central point of contact for internal and external clients, keeping them updated on status, anticipating their requests and proactively managing solutions. 

This position is home or office-based with collaboration with a globally-distributed team at IQVIA and with our clients and healthcare professionals. 

Activities may include: 

  • Coordinating or overseeing the delegate invitation, registration and travel logistics management for face to face meetings using preferred vendors and platform (Cvent, Amex, DMCs)
  • Cost reconciliation
  • Status reporting
  • Contract review, terms and execution coordination
  • Creating and maintaining event project plans
  • Manage post meeting activities, reporting, follow ups and metrics

This position will require international travel.

Who You Are

  • Seasoned: You have proven experience in international event and relationship management demonstrating 5-7 years of delivering life sciences events. You are proficient in project management platforms such as Smartsheet and MS Project. You strive to provide quality customer service and have exceptional attention to detail. Experience of both live and virtual event delivery is preferred.
  • Collaborative: You have the desire to collaborate with a diverse global team and are interested in establishing relationships with team members, clients and vendors around the world. Asking questions comes naturally to you and you aren’t afraid of researching to find the answers.
  • Resourceful: You may not know all the answers, but you have a proven track record of working through difficult challenges by independently researching potential directions, collaborating with others, and iterating to find solutions. Prioritizing projects, finding efficiencies, and improving processes are all part of your mindset. 
  • Adaptable: You continue to build on your event management skills by researching methodologies and keeping up with industry trends. You have the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting demanding deadlines and adapting to changing priorities. 

Skills:

  • Demonstratable knowledge of Project Management methodologies
  • Organizing your tasks into workable plans
  • Detail oriented
  • Understand the importance of communication
  • Knowledge of relevant platforms specifically Cvent, Zoom, WebEx
  • Experience managing relationships and expectations with groups such as DMCs, AmEx, AV Suppliers

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $92,000.00 - $153,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
