We are seeking a Translational R&D Research Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories business in Marietta, GA.

In this role, you will be performing research and development experiments for projects and products, in collaboration with others; exercising technical discretion in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project goals; assisting in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Contributing to internal scientific reports, documents, and communications.
  • Supporting the maintenance and operational standards of laboratory equipment.
  • Supporting the development of new and existing experimental techniques.
  • Executing scientific experiments and methods under direct supervision.
  • Providing project updates/reports of pre-clinical discovery deliverables to the project manager, as requested.
  • Ensuring quality and timely delivery of pre-clinical discovery deliverables to clients.
  • Maintaining laboratory notebooks under GLP compliancy and follow all appropriate laboratory and company SOPs.
  • Remote gating of flow cytometry data from validation and technology transfers.
  • Taking meeting minutes for sponsor calls.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or educational equivalent in cell biology, molecular biology, cancer biology, pharmacology, or related field required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • 1-2 years of Flow Cytometry experience.
  • Sound knowledge of human cellular or molecular biology concepts and experimental techniques.
  • Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work closely with other members of the laboratory.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $62,400.00 - $104,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
