Job Summary:

The Treasury Associate is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the accounting information by recording, entering and reconciling transactions.  Overall management of the daily cash received and grant invoicing. This position requires tight deadlines, strong organizational skills, effective communication and time management.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily operating cash analysis, communications, and accounting entries
  • Responsible for cash management of grant replenishments and vendor refunds
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable Grant Invoicing processing which includes accounting entries, AR Invoicing Instruction Workbook, AR Grant Aging Analysis
  • Assist in Banking entry into DrugDev ERP in compliance with global Banking Standards
  • Preparation of Corporate and Pharma monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and posting journal vouchers in Financial Lifecycle SAP B1
  • Provide support to the Treasury team
  • Special projects
  • Provide backup to others in group during absences
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications – Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent Work Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience
  • Prior experience at Biotechnology Company, CRO, pharmaceutical company preferred.

Qualifications – Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical & reconciliation skills
  • Strong MS Excel skills, specifically with Formulas
  • Strong PC Skills (i.e. MS Office, Google, SAP Business One)
  • Ability to work independently or in team environment
  • Understanding of accounting concepts
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a global environment
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Knowledge of foreign currency a plus
  • Knowledge of clinical trial process a plus.
