Job Family Description

  • Responsible for general financial accounting activities of the organization primarily accounts payable and preparing journal entries.
  • General accounting duties in connection with closing the books each month; general ledger maintenance; financial reporting; pays supplier invoices; AR billing issusing; Invoice collection tracking; etc

Job Profile Summary

  • Provide high level technical and general accounting services in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley rules and financial reporting requirements of the business unit (e.g. local GAAP).

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, records, verifies and pays vendor invoices for goods and services on a timely basis and responds to internal customer queries.
  • Analyze, prepare and process journal entries; analyze, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Invoice collection tracking from vendor and update invoice tracker timely
  • Bank account related changes when needed and prepare bank reconciliation and cash movement/forecast report.  Maintain inter-company accounting records and reconciliations.
  • Be finance gate keeper for PR approval
  • Prepare reports and analyze for use support internal &external audit and adhoc GL work
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with all accounting regulations and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Maintains, analyzes, and reconciles accounts payable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports.
  • Provide recommendations to improve existing processes and suggest alternatives where appropriate.
  • Prepare input VAT verification and AR billing issuing to customer and other adhoc tax issues
  • Maintain receipts and disbursement reports.
  • Interpret reports and records for managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree or equivalent preferred - in Accounting or Financial Management; or, CPA or other professional financial certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting AP, GL etc.
  • Requires knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of a job area, typically obtained through advanced education.
  • Knowledge of ERP system – Oracle(PeopleSoft Finance modules).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Technical accounting skills.
  • Good analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgment within procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
