Job Description

Location: Any location within European Union and UK

About the Team: IQVIA's Patient-Centered Solutions (PCS) team integrates patient perspectives into medical research and development. The team employs various research methods to understand patient, caregiver, and healthcare professional experiences. The PCS team has recently joined forces with QualityMetrics and this role is part of the QualityMetric quantitative scientific team.

Role Overview: The Associate Principal will advance COA endpoint practices, focusing on the evaluation, development, and validation of COA measures, particularly PRO measures. Experience with FDA PRO guidance is advantageous. This role involves decision-making, business development, and mentoring a team of 3-6 scientific staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple consulting projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.

  • Oversee technical and scientific project approaches.

  • Lead client interactions and business development in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.

  • Share expertise to enhance PCS service offerings.

  • Ensure client satisfaction post-project delivery.

  • Communicate effectively with delivery teams to resolve issues.

  • Develop consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market knowledge.

  • Provide leadership and direction to clients and teams.

  • Contribute to PCS community building, including recruitment and resource management.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master’s degree with extensive experience.

  • 8+ years post-doctoral experience (or 12+ years with Master’s).

  • 5-8 years in consulting within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry with focus on quantitative research

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to design studies, develop study materials (protocols, statistical analysis plans, case report forms, informed consent forms, etc.).

  • Ability to interpret and report with quantitative results and to carefully review work of project team.

  • Proficiency in SAS or similar statistical software.

  • Experience in managing large/multiple projects and leading teams.

  • Ability to develop relationships with senior managers and executives.

  • Knowledge of regulatory guidance and COA instrument development.

  • Fluency in English and willingness to travel (generally 2 trips per year).

  • Robust list of publications (please share the list)
