We are seeking a Associate Scientist, Sample Preparation to join IQVIA Laboratories at Ithaca, NY.

The Associate Scientist, Sample Preparation will be responsible for routine sample preparation duties, troubleshooting experiments, and preparing solutions and reagents to support laboratory operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Execute routine techniques to ensure biological samples are prepared for subsequent analysis.
- Perform extractions from biological matrices, tissue preparation, or purification as required.
- Conduct and document testing in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Make observations, perform calculations, and collect data for evaluation.
- Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results, escalating issues to senior lab personnel.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and good housekeeping consistent with 6S standards.
- Communicate clearly and accurately with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Document all project work according to Q2 Solutions and regulatory processes.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Sciences discipline required, or High School Diploma with equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
- Proficiency with pipetting techniques and basic knowledge of assigned technical areas.
- Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and laboratory safety procedures.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory calculations and procedures.
- Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $47,600.00 - $79,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
