Job Description Summary


This position forms part of the Lead Contract Negotiators (LCN) group. Provides legal advice and counsel within a function, region or country to support the creation, review, and negotiation of customer and vendor clinical contracts.


Responsibilities:
• Under general guidance from a senior IQVIA attorney, provides legal assistance to IQVIA companies in complying with laws, meeting business objectives, protecting assets and minimizing risks.
• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of clinical contracts, primarily focused on non-disclosure agreements, as well as other customer and vendor agreements as needed.
• Ensuring that contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory and organization policies.
• Monitoring the contract process to assure compliance with the organization’s contractual guidelines for both customers and vendors, including participation in precontract discussions, contract negotiations and contract changes.
• Track work and obtain appropriate reviews and approvals, adhering to established processes.
• Participate or coordinate as a legal contract lead in customer or vendor calls to support negotiations of the contracts.
• Ensure delivery of a final contract in a timely fashion, working independently or as part of a team.
• Conduct written and/or verbal follow-up with customers and vendors after the delivery of draft or signature-ready contracts.
• Support the development and delivery of training to “upskill” non legal staff and/or move non-essential work out of LCN.
• Attend and participate in team meetings.
• Perform other duties related to this role as required.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Academic background with a law degree from an accredited university.
• Qualified to practice law in a global organization and has 2-3 years post qualification experience

• Ability to negotiate, read and draft in English, as well as fluent in spoken English.
• Proficient in drafting various type of contracts in English and negotiating complex deals directly with customers and vendors.
• Strong organizational, planning, project management, communication, presentation and influence skills.
• Solid understanding of the government regulations that effect the operation of the organization
• Ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment and strong sense of ownership
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities and meet stablished timelines
• Ability to work independently, establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients, and at the same time be a good team player
• Possess excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills necessary to establish quickly credibility and trust throughout the organization.
