Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

IQVIA’s Global Commercial Compliance Consulting practice supports clients of all sizes and maturity, and across the life sciences industry with designing, enhancing, and executing commercial compliance programs. In this Senior Consultant role, you will support IQVIA’s Commercial Compliance Consulting team on projects and deliverables in our service areas including, but not limited to:

  • Policies and Procedures: Development of codes of conduct, commercial compliance policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policy manuals, local country guidance documents (e.g., summarizing relevant local regulations and industry codes for a specific country);
  • Training & Education: Training development and/or revisions to existing training materials (e.g., PowerPoint training, computer-based training, animated video training, etc.) and educational materials (e.g., one-pagers, quick reference guides, FAQs, etc.), training design support and training/communication strategy;
  • Program and Process Design & Assessments: Compliance program design, process design, compliance program assessments and policy/process assessments;
  • Monitoring & Auditing: Monitoring plan/program design, live monitoring (e.g., speaker programs, advisory boards, congresses, field rides), transactional monitoring/auditing, distributor/third-party audits and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) audits;
  • Risk Assessment & Management: Risk assessment process design, risk assessment execution, data analytics/dashboards and third-party risk management; and
  • Interim Compliance Office Support: General consulting, ad-hoc guidance and benchmarking, project management and supplemental resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

Client Service

  • Adheres to internal and external client deadlines communicated by senior team members.
  • Assumes responsibility for project management tasks and escalates issues to senior team members when necessary.
  • Proactively develops detailed project kickoff meeting decks, client status updates, and other project management related documents.
  • Acts as primary point of contact for the IQVIA manager for fielding and responding to client inquiries.
  • Displays professional demeanor during all client interactions in person or virtually.
  • Supports senior team members during client meetings by leading certain parts of the discussion.

Quality

  • Proficiently develops any report, policy document, process document, etc. with minimal direction from senior leadership.
  • Demonstrates expert level proficiency in formatting of project deliverables and content that requires minimal editing by senior team members.
  • Consistently provides content for draft deliverables for review in a "client ready" level of quality.
  • Consistently requires minimal direction from senior leadership to complete preliminary draft deliverables.
  • Responsible for initial review of deliverables if prepared by junior team members and confirming feedback is incorporated prior to review by manager and above.
  • Confirms work product addresses all deliverables within project scope per the client contract.
  • Consistently demonstrates expert level knowledge in technical programs utilized during project delivery and seeks innovative ways to continuously improve productivity of team members.
  • Monitors junior team member execution and proactively identifies areas of improvement when tasks appear to require more effort than is necessary.

People

  • Provides direction to junior team members and acts as initial resource to colleagues for questions.
  • Demonstrates ability to proactively identify internal issues and escalate to senior team members.
  • Receives direction from other team members and acts respectfully in all team interactions.
  • Encourages a collaborative team environment through demonstrating proactive attitude to help other team members.
  • Acts in mentor capacity and as a general resource to junior team members and continuously provides thoughtful guidance/advice including industry knowledge.
  • Takes ownership of personal professional development by exploring areas of interest, managing individual goals, identifying learning opportunities, seeking mentorship opportunities, attending webinars, etc.

Business Development

  • Supports development of proposals.
  • Supports development of materials for thought leadership activities including, but not limited to, industry conferences, internal training, publications, webinars, roundtable discussions, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of in-house experience with a pharmaceutical or MedTech manufacturer, or 3 years of work experience as a consultant within the life sciences industry required. Commercial compliance consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization (internal and external).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities, and deliver on tight deadlines while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes/deliverables.
  • Entrepreneurial, well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and team player.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $127,200.00 - $212,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
