Job Overview

Provide applied statistical methodology support and enhancement to a wide range of syndicated data offerings.

Essential responsibility

Own the maintenance of existing statistical methodologies and ensure quality control of related offerings.

Proactively monitor, conduct quality control (QC), and implement procedures to maintain stable and accurate data trends.

Develop and utilize various data analysis methods across multiple platforms, employing diverse data tools to build and implement efficient techniques, QC reports, or research new methodologies.

Assist in the test-case design and validation of new methodologies.

Conduct statistical programming, develop, and apply statistical QC and summarization to meet internal information needs.

Perform data reviews to derive conclusions from analyses, write up results, and deliver regular summary reports for core processes.

Ensure comprehensive and organized project documentation and file management.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to illustrate methodology design. Collaborate extensively with these teams to implement new methodologies, report progress, and meet critical deadlines.

Work in a Big Data environment, rewriting code using SAS, SQL, Python, R, or other languages as needed.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative science field such as operations research, market research, or applied statistics.

2-3 years of industry experience in statistical methodology and AI/ML.

Solid statistical knowledge, including regression, hypothesis testing, sampling statistics (universe, sample design, projection factors), and predictive modeling.

Practical experience using AI/ML for imputation, projection, and outlier detection is preferred.

Strong logical thinking and programming skills in Python and PySpark are required.

Applied experience in SAS and/or other statistical programming is preferred.

Technical ability to extract, manipulate, and combine datasets from different sources and platforms. Hands-on experience with Snowflake is a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts to both statistical and non-statistical audiences. Be proficient in English communication.

Good time management and learning ability, can deliver good results under pressure.
