The Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team leads the industry in generating data to ensure that the patient voice is incorporated into the development and commercialization of medication and other drug/non-drug interventions. We focus on understanding and meeting the needs of our clients – mostly life science/pharmaceutical companies – through the application of broad consulting expertise and technical scientific knowledge to design scientifically rigorous research. This research is broad and includes qualitative (e.g. interviews, focus groups), quantitative (e.g. clinical outcome assessments (COAs)/patient-reported outcomes (PROS), preference research) and passive (e.g. digital health technology tools) approaches to understand patient, caregiver and healthcare professional experiences and expectations of disease and treatment.

Role & Responsibilities

The environment is dynamic and ever-changing, moving at the pace of our clients’ needs and the candidate will be expected to understand the sense of urgency that is synonymous with the business.

As a Consultant, ClinRO Services within the PCS team at IQVIA, you will directly administer assessments to participants in a clinical trial, or evaluate the quality of assessments performed by others and provide feedback regarding interview technique and scoring. Responsibilities include:

  • Review of scales administered by raters in a clinical trial to ensure that assessments are being conducted in a standardized manner to ensure data reliability.
  • Evaluation the quality of assessments, conducting live interactions with raters to discuss assessment methodology, scoring technique, and to provide guidance, as necessary.
  • Evaluate case data and appropriately prepare for discussions with raters (e.g., prepared to discuss relevant issues and scale items, and have necessary documents available).
  • Complete rater interactions and assigned tasks as scheduled.
  • Responsible for timely submission of all documentation associated with assigned tasks.
  • Participate in all orientation, training and calibration activities as required.
  • Functional assessments of rater performance (e.g., mock interview) and assistance in preparing and disseminating communications.
  • Contacting clinical trial participants remotely (e.g., via proprietary app, Engage) to administer assessments, and will appropriately document resultant information (e.g., notes, scores)

What do you need to apply?

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric, Nursing or Social Work, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience working with central nervous system (CNS) trials preferred. Experience working with related psychiatric populations & experience administering psychiatric assessments, ratings scales and/or structured clinical interviews is a plus.
  • Ideally this person should have previous experience in Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of personnel and clientele in a professional manner.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications [solid excel/power point knowledge].

Home based position in Latin America.
