Job Description
Mandatory Technologies & Tools: The BA role benefits significantly when the individual in the role has some technical background, is able to write and execute efficient queries against the back-end data tables and execute efficient queries against the back-end data tables, and analyze the data in order to determine the root cause of anomalies, incorrect or incomplete records, missing fields, etc.
- During the implementation process, the BA is responsible for discussing the various lists-of-values (LOVs) that drive various aspects of system behavior, how t he system is affected by various configurations, and suggesting best-practice configuration options to the client (Define Configuration specifications, prepare specification document, Provide Walkthrough)
- The BA prepares a high-level “train-the-trainer” deck and executes the train-the-trainer session(s)
- Preferred skills include the ability to query relational databases and review data, understand the technical landscape of the application, assisting in providing / reviewing effort estimates, and prior experience with aggregate spend reporting and/or transfers-of-value. Strong Knowledge of SQL and writing queries, ETL process

• Part of the core project team “Trio” consisting of the Associate Project Manager (PM), Business Analyst (BA) and Solution Architect (SA)
• Each member of the Trio is expected to have strong foundational knowledge of project management best practices, specifically around software implementation delivery
• The BA is a customer-facing role and thus is required to have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- The ITR product manages a considerable volume of transactional data representing transfers-of-value between the Life Sciences client and Health Care Providers (HCPs) and Health Care Organizations (HCOs). The BA is expected to have a firm grasp on understanding the source of the data (there can be several sources), how the data is mapped/transformed to be compliant with the requirements for loading into ITR, and how the various components of the data are related.
- The BA is responsible for discussing and capturing the requirements for the various reports that are generated by ITR for submission to various regulatory bodies. This includes US CMS as well as EFPIA in Europe. (Define reporting and alerting requirements)
• As a member of the core project team, the BA works directly with the Quality Assurance analysts to help define the require test cases, execute and/or review the results of the tests, prepare issue and defect tickets, work with the development team to resolve issues and/or defects, and ensure the software is ready for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Key skills include advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio), workflow diagrams), knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), experience in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models, knowledge of Jira and Test Rail, and an understanding of the typical software promotion path from lower level environments through to Production
• Preferred skills include the ability to query relational databases and review data, understand the technical landscape of the application, assisting in providing / reviewing effort estimates, and prior experience with aggregate spend reporting and/or transfers-of-value.

• The BA works to prepare the environment for UAT, ensure data is staged and ready, and users have the appropriate roles and access levels
• The BA will work directly with the client UAT team to triage issues and/or defects, ensure tickets are logged in the issue tracking system (Jira), and maintain an open item list for regular review with the client
• The BA prepares a high-level “train-the-trainer” deck and executes the train-the-trainer session(s)
• The BA works alongside the PM and SA in preparing to hand the system over to the Ongoing Support team
• The BA is responsible for addressing questions, performing triage on any issues and/or defects raised during the Hypercare period, and ensuring the system is working as expected / required before closing the project
