From connections to comebacks

What inspires someone to return to a former workplace? For both Pankaj Magadum and Sruthi Methal, it was a deep-rooted connection to IQVIA’s values, culture and community. Although their journeys back to IQVIA were unique, they were shaped by a shared thread: the IQVIA Alumni Network, which kept them engaged, inspired and ultimately led them to return.

One event, two unique homecomings

Both Sruthi and Pankaj remained actively involved with the IQVIA Alumni Network during their time away. For Sruthi, it was the tie that kept IQVIA top of mind.

The alumni network served as a continuous thread throughout my career journey, keeping IQVIA close to my professional identity even during times I wasn’t directly employed here. That ongoing connection gave me a real sense of belonging, making my return feel not only natural but genuinely welcoming," she said.

A pivotal moment for both was the IQVIA Bangalore Alumni Networking Event. For Pankaj, it sparked memories of the culture he had once thrived in.

The event was a powerful reminder of IQVIA’s culture — its strong focus on continuous learning and genuine commitment to work-life balance. My previous time with the company was both professionally enriching and personally meaningful. Returning felt like coming home to a place where I can grow, thrive and contribute to impactful work in healthcare,” he said.

Sruthi found the event equally impactful.

“It wasn’t just about reconnecting with familiar faces; it was about the genuine warmth and enthusiasm they exuded when talking about their experience and the work culture. The overall atmosphere of the event perfectly encapsulated the vibrant and forward-thinking spirit of IQVIA,” she said.

Returning with purpose

For both, the decision to return was rooted in alignment between personal values and professional aspirations, and between past experiences and future goals. Pankaj emphasized the growth and impact IQVIA offers.

“IQVIA is where your experience is truly valued, where learning is constant and where your work genuinely matters,” he said.

Sruthi was drawn back by IQVIA’s flexibility and culture of belonging.

“Something I truly admire about IQVIA is the professionalism and mutual respect that everyone shows,” she said. “The flexibility offered — especially in terms of work-life balance and adaptive work arrangements — is a significant differentiator that I truly value.”

Since rejoining IQVIA, Pankaj has found the transition back seamless and energizing.

“Returning to IQVIA has been an incredibly smooth and rewarding journey. The onboarding process was thoughtfully structured and the warm support from both new and familiar colleagues — across teams and regions — instantly made me feel valued and empowered. From day one, I felt equipped and inspired to contribute meaningfully to our shared mission to create a healthier world,” he said.
